Boy, 17, Stabbed And Robbed Of His Car On Long Island: Police

He was taken by ambulance to an area hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries, police say.

MIDDLE ISLAND, NY — A 17-year-old boy was stabbed and robbed of his car in Middle Island Tuesday afternoon, Suffolk police said.

He was walking near the intersection of Tie Street and Sander Court when he was approached by a group that got out of a passing vehicle just after 1 p.m., police said, adding that during a fight, he was stabbed with an unknown object and dropped his car keys.

One of the suspects picked up the keys, and at least one person bolted from the scene in his 2015 Mazda sedan, according to police.

The teen, who is from Yaphank, was taken by ambulance to an area hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries, police said.
