  1. The officer stabbed in Medford has been released from Stony Brook University. Two officers were transported to the hospital last week after a brutal struggle with a man involved in a fight with a roommate. The cops arrived at the scene in response to a 911 call. (Long Island News12)
  2. A car crashed into a building in Patchogue on Friday morning. First responders arrived at the scene on East Woodside Avenue after 10 a.m. No injuries were reported. (Patch)
  3. A special concert to help Joseph Casony is set at Patchogue Theatre for the Performing Arts on Thursday, Jan. 12, at 7:30 p.m. "JoeJo" lost his home and his cat in a tragic fire.   4. Cameras caught a man ripping down a Black Lives Matter sign at Stony Brook University. The incident happened outside Unitarian Universalist Fellowship at midnight on Oct. 26. Police are asking anyone with information about the matter to contact the police. (Three Village Patch)

  • Police sought a man who robbed two smoke shops on the same day. The suspect's first stop was at the Nirvana Shop in North Patchogue. Twenty minutes later, he entered the Lucy Smoke Shop and Beer in Shirley and once again demanded cash from a clerk. Both crimes were committed at gunpoint. Take a look at a picture of the suspect.
