  1. The Town of Brookhaven's Youth Bureau accepts gently used coats, scarves, gloves, and hats donations. The Annual INTERFACE Coat Drive will be held through Feb. 10 to help those needing warm clothing items this winter. If you'd like to support this cause, you can drop your items at Brookhaven Town Vehicle Control Building, 550 North Ocean Ave., Patchogue. (Patch)
  2. A man died in a one-car crash near exit 61 on Long Island Expressway. The 37-year-old crashed into a divider. Sadly, the driver suffered a medical condition while driving and passed away on Saturday morning. (Newsday/Subscription Required)
  3. Long Island Restaurant Week kicks off on Jan. 29. There will be eight days of great prices in various local restaurants in and around Patchogue. Stay tuned for the list of eateries that will offer prix-fixe discounts. (LI Restaurant Week)
  4. Nearby News: Police arrested a man for threatening mass harm in the Cherokee Elementary School parking lot on Friday. The suspect arrived at school around 3 p.m. and yelled threats of violence in the building's direction. He was later identified and arrested at his residence. (Smithtown Matters)
