  1. The State Room is now open in Patchogue, offering a cozy atmosphere and a variety of cocktails on the second floor of the old BrickHouse Brewery. A menu that features local oysters, beef tartare and other specialties is available. Visit here for details. (Greater Long Island)
  2. The Teen Bake Off challenge returns to the Patchogue-Medford Public Library on Feb. 24. Participants are asked to bring a dessert to be tasted by judges who will give out prizes for winners. This is a free event. (Greater LI)
