Driver Suffers Apparent Medical Event, Vehicle Crashes Into 4 Others In North Patchogue: Police
He was taken to NYU Langone Hospital-Suffolk in East Patchogue for treatment, Suffolk police say.
NORTH PATCHOGUE, NY — A 23-year-old man apparently suffered a medical event and his vehicle struck four others in North Patchogue on Wednesday morning, Suffolk police said.
He was driving a 2019 Chevrolet southbound on North Ocean Avenue, approaching Sunrise Highway, when he became ill and his vehicle struck four vehicles that were stopped at a light at 8:20 a.m., according to police.
He was taken to NYU Langone Hospital-Suffolk in East Patchogue for treatment, police said.

No one else was injured in the crash, according to police.
It was one of two crashes that drew first responders on Wednesday morning.

At around 5:30 a.m., a tractor-trailer struck a median and jack-knifed on the Express Drive North in Yaphank, police said. No one was hurt.
