  1. There will be winter fun at Patchogue-Medford Public Library on Jan. 27 from 3 to 4 p.m.! The community is invited to enjoy crafts, music, and snacks at the 2023 Winter Fest! This event is perfect for kids aged 2-5 years. Registration is required and can be made in person or online. (Patchogue CofC)
  2. Suffolk Police alerted the public via social media on edible gummies with high amounts of THC in organic products stores in Patchogue, Port Jefferson and Huntington. Those products were in packs that can be easily mistaken for candy by young kids. The apprehension is part of a cannabis inspection operation conducted earlier this week. Read the whole story here.   3. Patchogue Grace Ministries is hosting its Drive through Food Pantry on Wednesday, Jan. 25, at 10 a.m. Families are welcome to stop by 28 Industrial Blvd, in Medford, to get free food and baked goodies from 10 a.m. to noon. (Patch Events)
  4. A Movie night is set up to benefit Gigi's Playhouse Long Island. If you are interested in watching How to Train Your Dragon, popcorn, and other treats, bring a blanket or a pillow and $10 to support this fundraiser.
