2. Leo the Lynx lived at the Smithtown Sweetbriar for some time after being rescued in Islip. Our friend, named "LeoCat Dicaprio," found a permanent home at the Holtsville Ecology Center. (TBR News Media)
3. A family of four received a house in Shirley on Wednesday as part of the Habitat for Humanity Program. Zach and his wife have twin daughters and were struggling in a small apartment. The family now has room to grow and a backyard for the girls to make new memories. (Patch)
4. 'Winter Wonderland' will be hosted by the Patchogue-Medford Public Library on Dec. 9 from 5 to 10 p.m. This free-admission event features bouncy houses, crafts, photo booths and carnival-like activities. (Patchogue Patch)
