- Sunday afternoon is to enjoy great music at the Patchogue-Medford Library. The Homegrown String Band will perform from 2 to 3:30 p.m. Just so you know, all are welcome to join. Registration is not required but is recommended due to capacity. (PMLIB)
- A Harlem man will be held accountable for a murder during a home invasion in Patchogue. Ade N’Gaii was found guilty of killing Kristopher Appel in 2018. Prosecutors said the attack was planned, and two other individuals were involved. Read the whole story here. (Patchogue Patch)
- A home fire on Boston Avenue in East Islip left one dead. The incident happened on Friday morning. The fire caused considerable damage, including a hole in the roof. Sadly a woman was pronounced dead. Authorities are investigating what caused it. (PIX11 New York News)
- The annual Shirley Community Ambulance Company’s Installation dinner was hosted at the Lombardi's on The Bay in Patchogue. Supervisor Ed Romaine, Councilman Dan Panico, and Councilman Michael Loguercio attended the event on Feb. 18 to thank the members for their dedication to keeping the community safe. (Patch)
