Injured Canadian Goose Rescued On Sunrise Highway
The goose will undergo surgery for a severe laceration.

A Suffolk Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals detective on Friday rescued an injured Canadian Goose on Sunrise Highway near Patchogue.
According to Suffolk SPCA officials, Detective Jennifer Pape rescued the goose on the median of the highway near the Ocean Avenue exit and transported the him to the Animal Emergency Hospital in Selden.

The goose will undergo surgery to repair a severe laceration, officials said. He will be released when he recovers.
