Knife-Wielding Man Nabbed Trying To Make Off With Amazon Van From Warehouse In Holbrook: Police
He flashed a knife at an Amazon employee, but no one was hurt, Suffolk police say.
HOLBROOK, NY — A man was busted for trying to make off with an Amazon van from a warehouse in Holbrook on Tuesday night, Suffolk police said.
Nicholas Sgroi, 29, of Smithtown, flashed a knife at an Amazon employee and tried to take an Amazon van from a parking lot on Broadway Avenue at around 6:45 p.m., according to police. He was arrested at the scene a short time later and charged with first-degree robbery, a felony, police spokesperson said.
No one was hurt.
