Assemb. Jarett Gandolfo Has Been Reelected To The 7th AD: Newsday
He garnered 34,288 votes or 65.09 percent of the vote, according to unofficial results from the Suffolk County Board of Elections.

LONG ISLAND, NY — The votes in New York's 7th Assembly District were still being tallied Wednesday morning, though Newsday has declared Assemb. Jarett Gandolfo, a Republican from Sayville, the winner.
He was challenged by political newcomer Douglas Pearsall, a Bayport Democrat.

Suffolk County Board of Elections results of 9:53 a.m.:
- Jarett Gandolfo (Republican, Conservative): 34,288 votes or 65.09 percent of the vote
- Douglas Pearsall (Democrat): 18,330 votes or 34.79 percent of the vote
Communities in the 7th Assembly District include Bay Shore, Brightwaters, Islip, East Islip, Islip Terrace, Great River, Oakdale, Bohemia, West Sayville, Sayville, Bayport, Blue Point, Patchogue, and East Patchogue.
