Man Hurt In 1 Of 4 Fires Over Weekend In Brookhaven Town: Police
The fires broke out in Bellport, Middle Island, Selden, and Mastic, Suffolk police say.
BROOKHAVEN TOWN, NY — A man was hurt in one of four fires that broke out since Friday in Brookhaven Town, Suffolk police said.
The man was taken to the hospital at around 4:30 p.m. on Friday after police say he was hurt while burning trash at a home on Bayview Avenue in Bellport.
He suffered minor burns and was taken to NYU Langone - Suffolk Hospital in East Patchogue for treatment.

On Friday at around 5:20 p.m., a brush fire broke out at a location on Birchwood Drive in Middle Island.
Arson Squad detectives are investigating a fire that sparked outside of a Selden home before spreading to it on Saturday night.

The fire started at the Quaker Lane home just before 10 p.m.
Two people from two separate households were affected by the fire, the American Red Cross said.
Also on Saturday, a fire broke out in a 2006 Volvo in the parking lot of Mastic Liquors on Montauk Highway in Mastic at around 9:30 p.m.
No one was hurt in either fire.
