Mastic Man Fired Several Rounds Into Air In Child's Presence On July 4: Police

MASTIC, NY — A 33-year-old man was arrested on July 4 after Suffolk police say he discharged several rounds from a gun into the air at a Mastic home on July 4.

It took place at around 9:45 p.m. in the presence of a six-year-old boy, police said.

No one was hurt in the incident.

The man, who is from Mastic, was charged with use of a dangerous weapon and endangering the welfare of a child, both misdemeanors.
