Here are the top four stories in Patchogue today:
- Ten years have passed since Hurricane Sandy hit Long Island. The Patchogue Public library will host a seminar with the Greater Patchogue COAD to teach the community how to properly prepare for weather emergencies. The event is set for Sept. 28 at 6 p.m. Registration is required. (Patchogue CofC)
- A representative of the Pep Boys located at 425 Sunrise Highway in Patchogue presented a plan to the town to change the building façade to accommodate an AutoZone parts store. The 100 years business is now working with other retailers offering a new variety of services. (Long Island.com)
- The Patchogue Fire Department is putting on a car show on Main Street this weekend. The "wheels" will be displayed on Saturday, Sept. 24, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. (Patchogue Village)
- The spooky season is approaching and the Gateway Playhouse is hosting a scary hunted house farmstead style from Sept. 30 through Oct. 31. Director Michael Baker described this year's theme as "a once-flourishing farm, producing some of New York’s best produce." produce." (Patchogue Patch)
