For those who like to appreciate and support our local artists, the Arts on Terry Contemporary Artist's Fair is on Sunday, Sept. 25, starting at 1 p.m. It's a family-friendly event for those who want to find a unique early Christmas gift or to look for an outing in the Village. 3. This month, Long Islanders are walking to prevent Alzheimer's disease. Around 1,500 gather at Belmont Lake State Park to raise money to support the research of the disease, a brain disorder that affects memory and thinking ability.
