1. Beep, beep! Save the date for the Patchogue Fire Department Car Show on Sept. 24 from 9 a.m. -2 p.m. Show up to support our local department and enjoy live music, food, and other party goodies! (Patchogue Chamber of Commerce)
2. The Patchogue-Medford Public Library will host a Gelato Tasting at the Carnegie Building at 160 West Main St. in Patchogue. A variety of flavors will be served on Sept. 6 at 5 p.m. Registration is required. (Chamber of Commerce)
3. "The Cher Show" will hit the Village until Sept. 11. The Patchogue Theatre for the Performing Arts features various artists performing Cher's best hits. Purchase tickets here. (Broadway World)
4. Motorcyclist Robert Tavares was seriously injured in an accident on Sunrise Highway in Patchogue. Tavares crashed into the back of a Mustang east of Route 112. He was transported to Stony Brook Hospital. Police continue to investigate the incident. (Patch)
