1. The Long Island Community Hospital staff in Patchogue called the police to report the arrival of a man who was assaulted and hit in the head with a piece of wood. According to the victim, the incident happened on Sunday morning. (Patchogue Patch)
2. Patchogue -Medford Public Library invites parents whose kids will start kindergarten to participate in the "Kindergarten & Beyond." The yearly program features storytime, playtime, home-activities, and more! (PMPL)
3. The countdown to the last Alive After Five of this summer has begun! This afternoon Patchogue Main Street will close at 5 p.m. to give it space for live stages, performers, food trucks, vendors, and more until 9 p.m. (Patch)
4. Republican candidate, Nick LaLota, celebrated victory in the New York State house elections in the 1st Congregational District. The polls closed Tuesday night, with LaLota earning 12,368 votes. (Patch)
