1. The next Alive After Five 2022 is set for Aug. 25. Summer is winding down, so don't miss the chance to enjoy the last day of one of the most popular summer outings in the village. The fun starts at 5 p.m. (Patchogue CofC)
   
2. Residents oppose the plans to sell the vacant property east of Route 112 in Medford. The lot has been empty for years and once was wanted to construct a lottery casino. Currently, the Lincoln Equities Group, a New Jersey developer, has plans to purchase the vacant land raising concerns among nearby residents. (News12)
   
3. For the little fans of the Disney production "Encanto," Patchogue-Medford Library will be at the Alive After Five with Mirabel and a family member waiting for the kiddos from 5 to 8 p.m. Stop by for greetings and craft fun! (Patch)
