LI's Christian Guardino Cracks Top 7 On 'American Idol'
The Long Island 22-year-old made it through another week of cuts on the talent show: "You nailed it, sang it perfectly" judge says.

PATCHOGUE, NY — Long Island's Christian Guardino continues his run to become the next "American Idol" singing his way into the top seven contestants Sunday night. The 22-year-old from Patchogue sang "Circle of Life" during the Disney-themed episode.
On Monday morning, the votes were in and Guardino, once diagnosed as legally blind, made it into the top seven.

The performance of the "Lion King" classic garnered rave reviews from the judges. Katy Perry told Guardino it was his best song yet and Luke Bryan said "you nailed it. You sang it perfectly."
Guardino's family and friends gathered at PeraBell restaurant in Patchogue, owned by his uncle, to view the young singer perform.
