  1. Patchogue-Medford Public Library is hosting a Polar Express Extravaganza on Dec. 15 at 6:30 p.m. Families are welcome to enjoy story time and fun activities. A special treat is a plus! You'll need to wear pajamas and register for this event. (Patchogue CofC)
  2. Police sought a driver involved in a fatal hit-and-run in Holbrook. A man was walking home from work when hit by an unknown vehicle on Veterans Memorial Highway at Grundy Avenue. Sadly, the victim was lying on the ground for eight hours before someone noticed him and called the police. A cash reward is offered for information that leads to an arrest. (WABC-TV)
  3. This is the season to rock ugly sweaters in the Village of Patchogue! The ugly sweater crawl kicks off on Dec. 15. Participants will find great deals while barhopping on Main Street! Click on the link to learn about this event, including ticket information. (Patchogue Patch)
  4. A teen driver is facing assault charges for hitting two pedestrians intentionally. According to the police, the teen had a quarrel before the incident. The teens were taken to a local hospital to treat minor injuries. Officials said the driver will respond in court on an unknown date. (News12)
