1. A Paws Walk will be hosted at Patchogue Shorefront Park to benefit Long Island Cares and Baxter's Pet Pantry. Bring your four-legged family member/friend to walk in support of a good cause on Oct. 1 at 8 a.m. Tickets are $20. For those who want to participate in the raffle, bring a donation of dog food. 2. For those registering to vote online, via mail or in person, the deadline is Friday, Oct. 14. Ballots can be requested by mail until Monday, Oct. 24. Early voting starts on Oct. 29, to Nov. 6. To register online, visit: New York online voter registration. (LI News 12)
3. Patchogue Kid's Home Run Derby & Alumni Softball Game is set for Oct. 1 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tickets include hot dogs and can be purchased at https://patchogue.com/events/. (Village of Patchogue)
4. Patchogue- Medford Public Library is hosting a "Hello Fall" Painted Sign workshop! If you like to craft and want to celebrate the beginning of the new season, the event is set for Thursday, Sept. 29, at 6:30 p.m. All materials provided. (PMPL)
