  1. On Wednesday, a pedestrian was hit on North Dunton Avenue in East Patchogue. First responders arrived at the scene around 7 a.m. Luckily, only minor injuries were reported. Read the whole story here. (Patchogue Patch)
  2. Patchogue-Medford Public Library celebrates Black History Month with the "A Song For Miles: Story Walk." This event is set for Friday, Feb. 3, from 9:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. No registration is required to enjoy unique classical hits across the library. (PMLIB)
  3. Police are searching for the truck driver who struck a utility pole on Patchogue Main Street on Monday. Over twenty businesses were out of power due to the incident. The driver fled the scene after the crash on Terry Street around noon. (Patchogue Patch)
  4. Have you heard of the Groundhog Day events happening on Thursday? That's an excellent chance to take the kids out for fun activities and see their prognostications. One of the events will be hosted at the Holtsville Ecology Center at 7 a.m. Refreshments and bagels will be provided. (Patch)
