Police Ask Public To Help Find Killer In July LI Shooting

A cash reward is being offered to anyone with information leading to an arrest of the person who killed a teen in July.

Suffolk County homicide detectives are asking for the public's help to identify and locate the person who killed a teen in a shooting in East Patchogue last July.

Emilio Sanchez Maldonado, 17, was found shot outside of his home, at 246 Hampton Ave., on July 3, around 3:32 a.m. He was pronounced dead at the scene by a physician assistant from the Office of the Suffolk County Medical Examiner, according to police.

Detectives are asking anyone with information to call the Homicide Squad at 631-852-6392 or call anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS.
