Suffolk County Police Seek Help To ID Man Dead From Head Injury

The victim, believed to be Hispanic and between 30 to 40 years old, was found dead last week with a head injury.

EAST PATCHOGUE, NY — A man who officers found last week with a head injury, and was later sent to an area hospital, died Sunday, according to Suffolk County Police Fifth Squad. The victim, whose death authorities believe to be non-criminal in nature at the moment, lacked identification.

The man, who was found critically injured around 12 a.m. on June 17 at 770 Montauk Highway, was described as possibly Hispanic and approximately 30 to 40 years old, 5 feet 2 inches to 5 feet 4 inches, and 130 pounds with thick black hair and brown eyes, according to police, who are seeking the public’s help in naming him. The victim was found wearing black sweatpants, a gray sweatshirt and black Nike sneakers.

Anyone with information on the man’s identity or about the circumstances surrounding his injuries and death is asked to call the Homicide Squad at 631-852-6392.
