'Santa Claus' To Fly Into Suffolk Town For Tree Lighting At Ecology Center

In addition to 'Santa,' there will also be costumed characters, musical entertainment, and complimentary candy canes and hot chocolate.​

HOLTSVILLE, NY — "Santa Claus" is coming to town, again.

The big guy is expected to fly — by helicopter — into Brookhaven Town to help with the countdown for the annual tree lighting at the Holtsville Ecology Site on Dec. 2.

The free event will feature costumed characters, musical entertainment, and complimentary candy canes and hot chocolate.

The event is sponsored by Texas Roadhouse, Moe’s, Dairy Queen, Eastern Helicopters, WALK 97.5 FM, WBLI, Party 105.3, and My Country 96.1.

Character visits will start at 5:30 p.m., followed by the lighting at 6 p.m.
