Here are the top four stories in Patchogue today:

  1. A hate crime-related arrest has been made at Eastern Suffolk BOCES Sequoya High school. A 14-year-old was charged after threatening to kill members of the LGBTQ community last week, according to the police. The case was brought to Suffolk County Family Court. Due to her age, her identity can not be released. (Newsday/Subscription Required)
  2. Suffolk police are investigating a hit-and-run at exit 60 E of Long Island Expressway. A 61-year-old man was laying down on the road when a car hit him and left. It's unknown why the victim was lying on the road. He was transported to a local hospital but died from his injuries. (News 12 Westchester)
  3. The Lady Blue Saxophone Quartet will be at the Patchogue- Medford Public Library performing classic holiday songs on Dec. 11 at 2 p.m. Registration is not required. (Patchogue Chamber of Commerce)
