Suffolk Man, 81, Dies After Crashing Into Tree: Police
He died in the single-car crash Friday morning, police say.
EAST PATCHOGUE, NY — An 81-year-old man died in a crash in East Patchogue Friday morning, police said.
According to Suffolk County police, the crash took place on the eastbound Sunrise Highway service road, near Hospital Road in East Patchogue at about 9 a.m.
Raymond Gotta was driving a 2018 Hyundai Elandra eastbound on the Sunrise Service Road, when his vehicle left the roadway near Hospital Road and crashed into a tree, police said.

Gotta, of East Patchogue, was transported to NYU Langone Hospital – Suffolk County where he was pronounced dead, police said.
Detectives are requesting anyone with information on the incident to call the Fifth Squad at 631-854- 8552.
