$1 Million Lottery Ticket Sold In Plainview

If you purchased a Mega Millions ticket recently, you should probably check it.

PLAINVIEW, NY — If you purchased a ticket for the Jan. 13 Mega Millions drawing, you should check it: you may suddenly be a lot richer.

The New York Lottery reported that a second-prize ticket for the Jan. 13 drawing was sold at Shoprite, located at 1675 Old Country Road in Plainview. The ticket is worth $1 million.

The winning numbers for the Mega Millions game are drawn from a field of one to 70. The Mega Ball is drawn from a separate field of one to 25. The Mega Millions drawing is televised every Tuesday and Friday at 11 p.m.

The ticket can be redeemed up to a year from the date of the drawing.
