$250,000 State Grant To Replace 2 Aging Plainview Playgrounds

PLAINVIEW, NY — A pair of playgrounds in Plainview are getting a facelift thanks to a $250,000 state grant.

The funds will replace outdated playgrounds at Plainview-Old Bethpage Community Park and Roundtree Drive Park.

New state-of-the-art facilities will be constructed, the Town of Oyster Bay said.

"Continuing improvements to our parks and recreational facilities have been a top priority for my administration, and we graciously thank Assemblyman [Steve] Stern for securing our fair share of State funds to construct new playgrounds in the community," Supervisor Joseph Saladino said.

His administration has a record of investing in playground upgrades, with over 80 being replaced with new sets, his office said.
