• 2 Elderly Displaced After Early Christmas Eve Fire: FD (patch.com) — Plainview residents are learning more about a serious early Christmas Eve house fire on Central Park Road that displaced two elderly occupants, though they escaped with only smoke inhalation concerns. About 75 firefighters from Plainview and surrounding departments contained the bedroom blaze in 40 minutes, but the home was left uninhabitable and the cause remains under investigation.
