Bethpage Federal Credit Union Announces Executive Changes

Two New Senior Vice Presidents Join Bethpage Team

Bethpage Federal Credit Union, the largest credit union in the Northeast Region and the 13th largest in the nation, is pleased to announce the appointments of Emilio Cooper to Senior Vice President of Retail Banking and Musadiq Hassanali to Senior Vice President of Technology. Emilio will report to Wayne N. Grossé, President and CEO, Bethpage. Musadiq will report to Brian Clarke, Executive Vice President & Chief Financial Officer.

Emilio Cooper joins Bethpage Federal Credit Union as the Senior Vice President of Retail Banking. In this role, Emilio leads Bethpage’s retail banking team, which includes heading up Bethpage’s 33 branches as well as the branch and member support services teams. He also has oversight of the Bethpage Financial Group, a team of advisors serving members for their investment needs, and also will head up a separate team responsible for payment services.

Musadiq Hassanali joins Bethpage as the Senior Vice President of Technology. His work includes designing and executing technology solutions to advance Bethpage’s reach, enhance its growth potential and strengthen Bethpage’s position in the national market. Musadiq joins Bethpage with over 28 years of technology experience.

“I’d like to welcome both Musadiq and Emilio to the Bethpage team. Musadiq brings a strong background in transformation and innovation in banking and across many business platforms. He is an effective, executive level leader who has spent a large portion of his career in developing and executing strategic visions that shape and support service-oriented businesses. Emilio comes to Bethpage with over 27 years of banking and financial services experience including senior leadership positions at four venerable banking institutions,” said Wayne N. Grossé, President and Chief Executive Officer, Bethpage Federal Credit Union. “Both will be highly valuable members of our growing team.”

Emilio comes to Bethpage from First Bank NJ, where he served as the Chief Deposit Officer. At First Bank, he was responsible for retail banking, business banking, cash management, marketing, deposit products and deposit operations.

Emilio brings with him over 27 years of experience in banking and financial services. Emilio has held additional senior leadership positions at Wells Fargo, Wachovia, and Citizens Bank. He began his career in banking as a Retail Management Development associate at Chase. Emilio currently serves on the Finance Committee of the Board of the Rescue Mission of Trenton, NJ.

Most recently, Musadiq was a Vice President, and Strategy & Operations Head for M&T Bank in Buffalo, NY, heading up a staff of over 350. Reporting to the Chief Information Officer, his work included orchestrating resource planning, overseeing strategy & operations, heading up agile transformation and portfolio management.

A global technology leader, Musadiq has spent considerable time managing projects and companies in London, Hong Kong, Frankfurt, Dubai, and the U.S. He began his career at Deutsche Bank in New York, London and Frankfurt.
