Bethpage Polo At The Park Kicks Off 2018 Season

Exciting season with world renowned polo players, matches, tournament cups and special events held Sundays as of June 3 - October 14.

Bethpage, NY; June 7, 2018 - The Meadow Brook Polo Club is hosting the 2018 New York Polo Series as of June 3 through October 14 at Bethpage Polo at the Park, Bethpage State Park, located at Plainview Road & Manchester Drive in Bethpage, NY.
Long Island has a long history of polo and the sport is seeing a strong resurgence in interest across Nassau and Suffolk counties. Bethpage Polo at the Park attracts top-level players, making for exciting, fast-paced matches in a fan-friendly environment where spectators are close to the action as well as offering family-friendly entertainment for all ages to enjoy at an affordable price.

"Polo is exciting and very popular across Long Island for its family-friendly atmosphere, magnificent equestrian athletes and affordable entertainment value. The 2018 New York Polo Series will feature riders and athletes at the highest levels of the sport as well as equines demonstrating their athletic prowess that will certainly impress fans and those new to the sport," said Robert Ceparano, President of Bethpage Polo at the Park. "We have featured cup tournaments as well as special theme days which will appeal to all ages."

This exciting series of polo events and cup tournaments taking place over the course of this summer and fall offers some of the highest levels of polo competitions played in the United States. The series of events will include the North East Cup (June 2-24); Old Westbury Cup (June 30 – July 29); Meadowbrook Cup (July 31-August 19) and the New York Open (August 25-September 16).

Polo fans and families are encouraged and welcome to attend and cheer on their favorite team and watch the fast-paced excitement. The 2018 season also brings a variety of family-friendly events to the polo grounds taking place every Sunday. The special events for the first month of the 2018 season included Opening Day-Kids Day, which took place June 3, and will include Sparking Rose- Go Pink! that is taking place this Sunday, June 10. Bethpage State Park gates open at 2 p.m. each match day.
