Business Owners React After 2 Found Fatally Injured Inside Bethpage Deli

BETHPAGE, NY — Local business owners are speaking out after a man and woman were found fatally injured in Bethpage's A & A Italian Deli on Thursday morning, police said.

Nassau County police said the two people were found with fatal injuries at 9:11 a.m. on Hicksville Road in the deli, and the investigation is ongoing.

Police have yet to confirm the names of the pair who were found fatally injured.

Frank Ciminelli of Massapequa, owner of The Total Event Florist & Flower Delivery, said the business is a family-run shop and the owners are well-loved.

Another local business said they had to close and tell their customers to leave at approximately 9:30 a.m., as police closed the parking lot for investigation.

The worker said she heard someone crying outside at around the same time.

One other business owner said they haven't been able to open their shop for a few hours, with police telling them "one more hour" for the past three hours.
