Dom's Famous Chicken Fingers To Open In Plainview This Spring

PLAINVIEW, NY — Dominick's Italian-American Deli opened its New Hyde Park doors in 1995 and will be expanding to Plainview this spring with Dom's Famous Chicken Fingers.

Co-owners Dominick Grosso and son Vincent, along with help from the rest of the family, including Nick Marino, Dom Jr., and Daniella, run the family-owned business in New Hyde Park.

Marino said the family is excited to be part of a new town: "We feel that Plainview is such a great community."

He explained that they began expanding the business with food trucks, starting in 2024, but this will be their second storefront. It will feature a smaller menu than their New Hyde Park location, focusing on chicken fingers.

"The restaurant business can definitely be stressful at times, but also rewarding and joyful," Marino said. "You get to see and meet so many different people and interact with your regular customers."

Marino added that the customers are his favorite part of working in the deli.

"We are so grateful for them, and seeing a smile on their face after they come here makes it all worth it," he said. "The support of our amazing customers over the years has made this expansion possible, and we are forever grateful to them."

Their website states that the deli is "best known for its golden, crispy chicken fingers."

The Grossos partnered with longtime family friend Vincent Napolitano to launch Dom's Famous Chicken Fingers, as their website states.

The new Plainview location will be at 1135 Old Country Road. This location was formerly Benjy's Glatt Shwarma, and before that, it was Mixed Grill.

A grand opening date is yet to be determined.
