Driver Killed As Vehicle Overturns In LIE Crash: Nassau Police
Two other vehicles were involved in the overnight chain reaction collision near Exit 40.

JERICHO, NY — A driver was killed early Thursday when he lost control of his vehicle on the Long Island Expressway in Jericho, police said.
The victim, a 49-year-old man, overturned his 2012 Chevy Suburban at Exit 40 at approximately 3 a.m., police said. He was identified as Kenneth Young, of Brooklyn.
The Suburban struck the rear of a 2023 Dodge delivery van, driven by a 55-year-old man, which was pulled over to the side of the expressway, police said.

A 43-year-old man driving a 2019 Freightliner then struck the Suburban, which had come to stop in the right lane, police said.
There were no other injuries. Police are investigating.
