Firefighter Injured Battling House Fire In Nassau: Police

OLD BETHPAGE, NY — A firefighter was injured battling a house fire in Old Bethpage on Thursday evening, police said.

The home on Round Swamp Road sustained extensive damage, police said.

Members of the Plainview Fire Department extinguished the blaze with the assistance of several other fire departments.

The Nassau County Fire Marshal and Arson Bomb Squad also responded and are investigating the scene.

One firefighter was taken to a hospital with smoke inhalation, police said.
