'Frightening' Anti-Semitic Flyers Found In Plainview: Local Legislator
Last year, the "Goyim Defense League" left hate-filled pamphlets in Oceanside and Rockville Centre mailboxes.
PLAINVIEW, NY — Flyers denouncing Jews are once again being distributed in Nassau County. Anti-Semitic pamphlets were spotted over the weekend in Plainview.
Nassau County Legislator Arnold Drucker, a lifelong Plainview resident, was disgusted by it.
"It's pervasive, all over the country, and now all over Long Island," Drucker told Patch.

In July, the so-called "Goyim Defense League" sent flyers to residents in Rockville Centre and Oceanside, he said.
The latest pamphlets included the headline, "Every Single Aspect of Gun Control is Jewish," with several images of federal lawmakers depicted with a Star of David on their heads.

"[It's] very frightening, but at the same time it infuriates me, how we seem to be going backward in so many ways as a country," Drucker said.
In the past, anti-Semitism would be found in isolated incidents on Long Island, possibly tied to the Jewish High Holy Days.
"These are more deliberate, organized attempts to spew hatred," he said.
While Drucker said it's important to call out these "purveyors of hate," he finds it "equally concerning" that some of the groups "thrive on the attention."
As a student of history, Drucker said the flyers remind him of one moment in time.
"What took place in Germany in the 1930s, started out with flyers and posters in the street and then it escalates," Drucker said.
He wants to shine a light on the dangerous behavior that will, at least, lead to more awareness.
"Hopefully, we work hand in hand with our law enforcement and they apprehend these people," he said.
