Lady Hawks Make History, Earning Their First-Ever LI Championship
POBJFK High School's girls' volleyball team is headed to the NYS Championship this weekend.

PLAINVIEW, NY — The Plainview-Old Bethpage John F. Kennedy High School girls' volleyball team won the AAA Long Island Championship on Nov. 13 for the first time.
The historic win was against Connetquot at Hauppauge High School and marked an undefeated 17-to-0 season. The Lady Hawks took home the win with a 25-16 victory,according to Newsday.
“We put our minds to it, and we made it happen,” Senior Captain Dylan Katz said. “I’m so proud of everyone on this team.” The Lady Hawks also earned their second consecutive county title against Massaequa.

“These girls are so talented, and it has been an absolute highlight to help them meet their full potential,” Coach Brianne Knight said. “They fought for it and made POB history!”
The team is headed to the NYS Championship in Glens Falls this weekend.
