Long Island Bed Bath & Beyond Among 7 In NY Slated To Close

PLAINVIEW, NY — A Long Island Bed Bath & Beyond store is one of 200 that the chain will be closing, after making the decision to shutter stores in 2020.

The company announced two years ago that it would be closing stores, but did not say which ones. Now, the company just announced that the store in Plainview is one that will be closed. It is the only store on Long Island that was named. The store is located at 401 S. Oyster Bay Road.

  • Auburn: Auburn Plaza, 217 Grant Ave.
  • Canandaigua: 328 Eastern Boulevard
  • Glenmont: 388 Feura Bush Road
  • Niagara Falls: 1520 Military Road
  • Port Chester: 25 Waterfront Place
  • Spring Valley: 14B Spring Valley Marketplace

In 2020, the company said the plan to close approximately 200 stores was part of an effort to "right-size" its real estate portfolio.

There is no firm date yet for when the stores will close, but they will be shuttered by the end of February. The closing stores are currently having liquidation sales.
