Motorcyclist Killed In Collision With Truck On L.I.E.: Police

PLAINVIEW, NY — A motorcyclist was killed in a collision with a tractor-trailer on the Long Island Expressway, police said.

Just before 9:30 on Saturday evening, the 30-year-old man was riding a 2016 Kawasaki when he hit the rear of the tractor trailer near Exit 46 in Plainview, police said.

The 57-year-old driver of the truck was uninjured and remained at the scene, police said. A safety check was performed on the truck.

Police are investigating.
