• 'Long Island Deserves Better:' NYSNA Northwell Nurses Deliver 10-Day Strike Notice (patch.com) — Nurses at Northwell’s Plainview, Huntington, and Syosset hospitals have issued a 10-day strike notice as they push for safer staffing levels, protected health benefits, and stronger recruitment and retention. Plainview nurses are prominently involved, signing letters to Northwell’s CEO and speaking out as part of a broader Long Island effort that could see over 1,000 nurses strike if no agreement is reached by Jan. 12.
