Join Us! The POB Chamber Scholarship Committee will be meeting (in-person) on the evening of Wednesday, March 16th to read and judge anonymous essays written by college bound POB JFK High School seniors.

Always a fun and rewarding experience, the committee will choose three essays with two themes: The $1,000 scholarship essays address “What Plainview Means to Me,” and the $500 scholarship (two given) essays explore innovative local business ideas. The scholarships are given annually by the chamber in memory of  Marcia Finkelstein, a former beloved board members, who chaired the committee for many years.

The judging will take place on Wednesday, March 16th at 7:00pm at one of the POB schools. Please contact scholarship committee chair Cheryl Dender as soon as possible if you can commit to joining us. cheryl.dender@gmail.com.

Important note: If you currently have a senior student at POB JFK High School, we kindly ask that you do not participate this year.
