PLAINVIEW, NY — A Plainview sophomore has been selected to represent his school as an ambassador for a national youth leadership group. Aidan Davis will represent Plainview-Old Bethpage John F. Kennedy High School as a Hugh O’Brian Youth Leadership Ambassador for the 2019-20 academic year.

The organization, founded in 1958, focuses on inspiring and developing youth and volunteers to become leaders, serve and innovate. There, he will work with other students and leaders in business, government, education and other professions to explore and exercise leadership, both on a personal level and as a group.

After the seminar, Davis will be challenged to complete 100 hours of community service within the next year to put his leadership skills and passion to the test.
