PLAINVIEW, NY—A popular burger restaurant known for "crazy shakes" and high-quality burgers is expanding to Plainview. Prime Burger Bar, in Commack, is taking over a space in the Morton Village Plaza shopping center, 1048 Old Country Rd.

Prime Burger Bar advertises "homemade burgers, hand-cut fries and super milkshakes."

The burgers are made with a blend of chuck, short rib and ribeye steak meat, owner Richard Bedrosian says on the Commack restaurant's website.

"There is nowhere else in New York that has a ribeye blend and very few of the premium steak houses have a steakhouse blend for their burgers. So first choose your burger, then your bun, and then your toppings. Add a shake and some sides and you have the perfect menu. If perhaps beef is not your thing, we also have turkey burgers, ahi tuna, and lamb burgers, and vegan beyond burgers.

Bedrosian also opened Babylon Burger Bar in 2018.

The over-the-top milkshakes come in flavors like birthday cake, Chipwich, cotton candy and "ultimate fudge brownie."

No opening date has been announced for the new restaurant, but the business Facebook page promises that it is "coming soon."

The Morton Village Shopping Center has seen revitalization in the last two years, with a Lidl supermarket and an Ace Hardware store taking over vacant retail space.
