Regal Kosher Deli To Close After More Than 50 Years
Rising costs and hard-to-find labor made it hard for the deli to turn a profit, owners said.

PLAINVIEW, NY — After more than 50 years in business, Plainview's last kosher deli will be closing next month.
Regal Kosher Deli will close its doors on Nov. 6, Newsday reported. The deli was originally opened in 1966 by Steven Weiss. The deli is located at 1110 Old Country Road.
Current owner Sherri Banks, Weiss's daughter, told Newsday that the rising price of goods, especially kosher meat, and the current labor shortage meant “the restaurant just isn’t making enough money to survive.”
