Residents Will Decide On Plainview-Old Bethpage School Budget
The $197 million proposed budget is on the May 20 ballot.
PLAINVIEW, NY — Residents will vote on the Plainview-Old Bethpage Central School District budget.
The proposed budget of $197 million is on the Tuesday, May 20 ballot. A tax levy of 2.75 percent is recommended, which saves taxpayers $1.2 million.
The 2025-2026 budget includes a $2.5 million transfer to the Capital Fund to support facility upgrades and capital projects—such as installing air conditioning in all four elementary schools and Mattlin Middle School cafeterias.

Classroom space would be added at one of the district's elementary schools and critical infrastructure repairs are planned for the Plainview-JFK High School pool.
Voting takes place from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. at Jamaica Avenue School and the administrative offices at Mattlin Middle School.
