Retiring Jericho Superintendent Honored By Town Of Oyster Bay

OYSTER BAY, NY — As a longtime Jericho educator is set to retire this summer, the Town of Oyster Bay recently honored Henry Grishman.
Jericho Union Free School District Superintendent Henry Grishman will leave his post on July 31. The Old Bethpage resident has been in his role since 1995, the longest-serving superintendent in the state.
"While your presence will be missed, your legacy in education will continue in the hearts and minds of all the students you have guided throughout your decades of service," Supervisor Joseph Saladino said.

During his tenure at Jericho, students and staff have won several national awards, including National Merit Scholarships, Siemens and INTEL competitions. The district is consistently ranked as one of the best open enrollment schools in the United States.
