'Substantial Damage' From Plainview Self-Storage Building Fire: Police

PLAINVIEW, NY — A building fire sent first responders to Plainview on Saturday afternoon.
Flames shot out of Safeguard Self Storage's roof on Old Country Road, police said.
The Plainview Fire Department extinguished the blaze with assistance from other departments.

No injuries were reported, but the building sustained substantial damage, police said. The fire is not deemed suspicious. The Nassau County Fire Marshal is investigating.
