TJ Maxx Wants To Replace Closing LI Bed Bath & Beyond: Report

PLAINVIEW, NY — It was announced earlier this month that the Bed Bath & Beyond in Plainview would be closing. But it seems residents may not need to worry about having a vacant storefront in their town for very long.

According to Newsday, the landlord of the property says that TJ Maxx, which is located in a shopping center across the street from Bed Bath & Beyond, wants to move into the space once the store closes.

The Bed Bath & Beyond is located in Woodbury Plaza, at 401 S. Oyster Bay Road in Plainview. The TJ Maxx is in the Woodbury Shopping Center, at 410 S. Oyster Bay Road in Hicksville.

The game of musical chairs doesn't stop there, though. Newsday reports that the grocery store Aldi is also in talks to open a store in part of the space that would be vacated by TJ Maxx.

TJ Maxx would move into the new space in the fourth quarter of the year, Newsday reported.
