Winter Storm Watch Issued For Long Island
1-2 inches they said just last night. Well, things have changed...have your shovel handy.

We are not sure what happened overnight, but Mother Nature has apparently decided we need more snow. As of last night, forecasts for Long Island were predicting 1-2 inches of snow this weekend, but on Friday morning, the National Weather Service issued a winter storm watch for the region and significantly upped those snow estimates.
A total of 4-8 inches of snow is now expected to accumulate on the island Saturday night into Sunday morning. The winter storm watch will be in effect from 7 p.m. Saturday until 7 a.m. Sunday.
A winter storm watch means there is the potential for significant snow, sleet or ice accumulations that may impact travel.
